Adult Community Learning In Sunderland

adult community learning in sunderlandThe Adult and Community Learning (ACL) team is based in the City Library and Arts Centre, Fawcett Street, Sunderland.

We work with a number of learning providers to offer a wide range of learning activities. Courses are also offered through each of the 6 area Lifelong Learning Forums.

Adult and Community Learning receives funding from the Learning and Skills Council. This funding is used to contract with voluntary and community organisations, schools, City of Sunderland College and the University of Sunderland, to deliver non-accredited learning. Much of this is designed to offer a first step back into learning for adults.

A key aim of Adult and Community Learning is to increase participation in learning and offer progression routes for learners.
